Program Description:
The educational program at Orange Cross Ambulance Service is
designed to fulfill paramedic level training requirements for
recertification / renewal.
Upon completion of the program employees will have satisfied
all requirements for recertification by the National Registry of
Emergency Medical Technicians, and / or licensure renewal, with the
State of Wisconsin at the EMT-Paramedic level.
The programs goal is to minimize the number of hours employees
spend reviewing previously covered material and maximize the number
of certifications / course completions that can be obtained within
the scheduled time frame.
Program Plan:
Program content has also been structured to satisfy an
employees requirements from a company, state, and national standard
paramedic refresher curriculum perspective. Course completions in
CPR, ACLS, PEPP, and PHTLS are standard components of the program.
Currently the program is coordinated by Orange Cross Ambulance
Service, Lakeshore Technical College, Saint Nicholas Hospital, and
Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Numerous teaching formats, materials, and principles are
utilized.
